Awards are never the reason we do the work, but they are a meaningful reflection of the people behind Epic Hair Designs. Our stylists, apprentices, salon leaders and support teams have been recognised for creative hairdressing, business excellence and community impact.
Some honours have been judged by leaders within the Australian hair industry. Others have come directly from the people who visit our salons. We value both.

A very special recognition for giving back.
In 2026, Epic Hair Designs received the Queensland Community Foundation Board of Governors Award at the Queensland Philanthropy Awards, sponsored by Queensland Public Trustee.
Queensland Gives recognised Epic’s long term commitment to philanthropy through donations, sponsorships, fundraising, in kind support and advocacy across causes including domestic and family violence, homelessness, period poverty, cancer research and the arts.
The award also recognised the work of Brendon Mann and Brendan Smith and the wider Epic team in making community giving part of the culture of the business.

Creative hairdressing
Queensland creativity on an international stage.
Creative competition has long been part of Epic’s education and artistic culture. Our colourists have been recognised through Goldwell’s international creative awards program, previously known as Color Zoom and now the Global Creative Awards.
Epic team members achieved Gold, Silver and Bronze results in the Australian finals, an extraordinary result that reflects the depth of creative talent within our salons.
In 2025, members of the Epic team travelled to Milan to represent Australian hairdressing on the international stage.
Creative excellence starts with education.
Competition work challenges our stylists to experiment, refine technical skills and bring new ideas back into the salon.

Epic Hair Designs was named Queensland State Salon of the Year at the Australian Hair Industry Awards in 2020, recognising the wider business, leadership and salon culture behind the group.
In 2022, Epic received the AHIA Vidal Sassoon Humanitarian of the Year award, recognising our commitment to giving back and supporting the community around us.
In 2025, Epic was a finalist for Corporate Philanthropist of the Year at the Queensland Gives Philanthropy Awards. One year later, that community commitment was recognised with the 2026 Queensland Community Foundation Board of Governors Award.
