How Our Pricing Works | Epic Hair Designs
Epic Hair Designs

How our
pricing works.

Clear salon pricing, different stylist levels where they apply, and a personalised quote before your service begins.

Clear from the beginning

Some services change by stylist level. Others do not.

Epic Hair Designs uses stylist level pricing for selected salon services. Where level based pricing applies, the amount can vary depending on whether you choose a Standard, Master or Emerging Stylist.

Other services have one standard service price across stylist levels. Your salon price list shows which pricing structure applies to each individual service.

Important pricing note

Not every service has Master or Emerging Stylist pricing.

Services such as treatments and toners use the same standard service price across stylist levels. Choosing a Master Stylist does not automatically make every item more expensive, and choosing an Emerging Stylist does not automatically make every item less expensive.

Where a service does have stylist level pricing, the relevant Standard, Master and/or Emerging Stylist prices will be shown on the salon price list.

Reading our price lists

The price list tells you when stylist level pricing applies.

One price shown

The same service price applies across stylist levels.

If a service has one listed price, that is the service price regardless of whether your appointment is with a Standard, Master or Emerging Stylist.

Examples include treatments and toners. The service itself uses the standard listed price rather than changing because of the stylist level selected.
Multiple prices shown

Stylist level pricing applies to that service.

Some services are priced differently according to stylist level. Where this applies, the price list will show the relevant Standard, Master and/or Emerging Stylist rates.

The level difference only applies where it is listed.Master pricing is generally higher and Emerging pricing generally lower than Standard pricing for services that use this structure.
Our stylist levels

Choose the experience level that suits you.

Stylist levels reflect experience, demand and stage within the Epic team. They affect the price only where the individual service has level based pricing.

Standard

Senior Stylists

Experienced, fully qualified hairdressers working to Epic’s technical standards. Standard pricing is the base stylist level used where a service has tiered stylist pricing.

Master Stylist

Advanced experience

Highly experienced hairdressers recognised for advanced technical skill, specialist expertise or strong client demand. Master pricing is higher than Standard pricing where a Master rate is listed for that service.

Emerging Stylist

Apprentice, progressing through practical salon experience

Emerging Stylists are Epic apprentices who have completed and passed the relevant training modules for the services they are performing. They are not yet fully qualified hairdressers and continue to build practical salon experience with support from Epic’s senior team. Emerging pricing is lower than Standard pricing where an Emerging rate is listed for that service.

Important: your stylist’s level does not change the price of every item in your appointment. Fixed price services remain at their listed service price.

+16%Saturday surcharge
Saturday pricing

A Saturday surcharge applies.

A 16% surcharge applies to salon services on Saturdays to reflect the additional employment costs associated with Saturday trading.

The surcharge applies to the applicable service price for your appointment, whether that service has a single listed price or stylist level pricing.

A $1 contribution is also added to each visit to support women’s charities.

Salon pricing

Some salons have their own local rates.

Most Epic salons follow our general pricing structure. Forest Lake, Springfield Lakes and Upper Coomera currently have their own local price lists, so check the salon you plan to visit.

Pricing FAQs

The important bits, made simple.

Need a specific price? Check your salon’s current price list or speak with your Epic stylist.

Does every service have Standard, Master and Emerging pricing?

No. Stylist level pricing applies only to services where separate level based prices are shown. Other services use one standard service price across stylist levels.

Are treatments and toners priced differently by stylist level?

No. Treatments and toners use the same standard service price across stylist levels. The stylist level does not create a separate Master or Emerging price for these services.

Does a Master Stylist always cost more?

No. A Master Stylist price is higher than Standard only where the service has a separate Master rate. If a service has one listed price, that same service price applies across stylist levels.

Is an Emerging Stylist always cheaper?

No. Emerging Stylist pricing is lower where a separate Emerging rate is listed for the service. Services with one listed price remain the same regardless of stylist level.

How do I know which pricing applies to my service?

Check the current price list for your chosen salon. If multiple stylist level prices are shown, choose the rate relevant to your stylist. If one price is shown, that is the service price across stylist levels.

Is there a Saturday surcharge?

Yes. A 16% Saturday surcharge applies to salon services.

Are prices the same at every Epic salon?

Most salons follow the general Epic pricing structure. Forest Lake, Springfield Lakes and Upper Coomera currently have their own local price lists.

Will I know the expected price before my service starts?

Yes. Your stylist will discuss your service plan and confirm the expected price before beginning the service.

Can the price change depending on my hair?

Where relevant to the service, hair length, thickness, density, product requirements, service complexity and additional time may affect pricing. Your stylist will discuss this with you during consultation.
