Q: How long will I be required to attend the academy for my appointment?

As this is a training environment, services will take longer than usual, and patience will be required. Times will be noted on the website.

Q: In which location will I need to attend?

Services will be done at either our Ascot academy in Ascot, Racecourse Village, 188 Nudgee Road, Ascot or at the Greenslopes Salon Academy- Greenslopes Mall, 700 Logan road, Greenslopes

Q: How much will the service cost?

At Ascot academy- There is a small charge for all of our Colour, Highlighting and KKT and treatment services. Prices are displayed in each session and a quote given prior to the commencement of the service.. At Greenslopes Salon academy- Prices are significantly discounted.

Q: Will I be able to purchase retail products from the academy?

All models can purchase retail and will receive a 25% discount.

Q: Can I bring my children or a friend with me to the academy?

As much as we love to meet your friends and children, we unfortunately do not have the space in the training environment to enable us to meet all health and safety requirements and Covid19 restrictions.

Q: Do I need to Shampoo my hair prior to arriving as a model?

Yes, please shampoo your hair the day PRIOR to your appointment at the Academy. All models must arrive with clean dry hair. (except with Keratin Smoothing Treatments, this is done on the day of service)

Q: Can I have whatever I want done on the day?

Only the services required for the students training needs will be offered on the day.

Q: Where do I park and how much does it cost?

There is free and unlimited parking on site at Racecourse Village and Greenslopes Mall.

Q: How long can my hair be?

As the students are learning, extra long hair will not be suitable. Shoulder length hair or a little longer if the hair is fine is best.

Ascot Academy

The Ascot Academy is Epic Hair Designs very own learning space where our Apprentices come to learn all things Hairdressing in a fully simulated salon environment.

Supervised by experienced Trainers who also work as qualified Hairdressers in one of our Epic Hair Salons.

The Ascot Academy is open Tuesday – Friday as per session schedule below. (Please note from August- Ascot academy will only operate from Wednesday – Friday)

Greenslopes Salon Academy

Located at the Greenslopes Mall-700 Logan road, Greenslopes QLD 4120

TUESDAY’S ONLY-9am-4pm

The Salon Academy at Greenslopes is Epic Hair Designs GRADUATE salon space, where our Emerging stylists put into practice everything, they have learnt at the Ascot academy whilst in their final year and fully overseen by an experienced Educator/Hairdresser.

Whilst every attempt will be made to achieve your dream hairstyle, our apprentices are in training and will be restricted by time and experience, therefore some colour and cut work may not be achievable on the day. All models will be advised prior to proceeding what is achievable and what is not.

We do charge a small fee for our Colour and treatment services at the Ascot Academy to assist with covering costs.
