The Academy was designed to give young and emerging stylists the training, mentoring, and opportunities they need to thrive in a competitive industry. With weekly training led by industry professionals, external seminars, and advanced courses, our team members are exposed to the very best education from the very beginning. Training has always been central to our success and is the reason our stylists are consistently recognised as some of the most skilled in Australia. Every stylist at Epic completes the globally recognised Goldwell Master Colourist Course, as well as our own Epic Salon Academy program, which delivers a hands-on and fully tailored training schedule. This ensures clients across our Brisbane and Gold Coast salons always receive a finer salon experience—innovative, professional, and held to the highest industry standards.
Pivot Point Training
Apprentices begin their Master Colourist journey with Goldwell, building technical knowledge and creativity in colour. At the same time, they complete in-house training on the fundamentals of cutting, styling, and service excellence.
We’ve partnered with Pivot Point International, a world leader in hairdressing education, to deliver exclusive, intensive haircutting courses. This collaboration means our stylists are taught the same philosophies and techniques used by leading hair professionals worldwide. Within just two years, our trainees are equipped with the most up-to-date industry skills, preparing them to become the great hairdressers of the future.

Hands-On Training with Real Clients
Open Monday to Saturday, the Academy welcomes hair models who want to support stylist training while enjoying discounted or complimentary services.
Models are looked after by apprentices guided by senior stylists and trainers, with services ranging from basic cuts to colour work. While we always aim to achieve your dream result, services may take longer and some advanced looks may not be achievable within the training environment. Every client is consulted before services begin so expectations are clear.
Pricing is minimal, starting from as little as $12 for additional treatments, and in many cases services are completely free.
