Brisbane’s biggest celebration of local style and creativity returns this October, with Brisbane Fashion Month 2026 bringing together established designers, emerging talent and fashion lovers from across Queensland.
Presented by Fashion Queensland, Brisbane Fashion Month is now in its 11th year. The annual event provides an important platform for Brisbane and Queensland designers to share their work, connect with the industry and reach new audiences. From inspiring conversations to memorable runway moments, the 2026 program will celebrate the creativity, craftsmanship and distinctive identity of Queensland fashion.
What to Expect at Brisbane Fashion Month 2026
This year’s announced program runs throughout October and features runway shows, fundraising events and conversations with some of Queensland’s most exciting creative and business leaders.
The month begins with the Dangerous Females Fundraising Runway at Felons Barrel Hall on Saturday, 3 October. Combining fashion with a meaningful cause, the event will celebrate diversity, strength and self-expression through designs from both emerging and established labels.
On Wednesday, 14 October, acclaimed Brisbane designer Gail Sorronda will take part in a special Game Changers conversation at the State Library of Queensland. The event will explore her experience building an internationally recognised independent label while remaining true to her Brisbane roots and distinctive creative vision.
Sustainability and entrepreneurship will also take centre stage on Friday, 16 October, when the founders of EAU BAGS join Fashion Queensland for a conversation at Brisbane Powerhouse. Sisters Olivia and Claudine will discuss the journey behind their recycled nylon accessories brand and the realities of growing a fashion business in Queensland.
Runway Highlights at Brisbane Powerhouse
The signature runway celebrations will take place at Brisbane Powerhouse on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, with two shows offering different perspectives on Queensland fashion.
Show One will spotlight the next generation of talent, featuring emerging independent labels and student designers from Billy Blue College of Design at Torrens University Australia, TAFE Queensland and Kelvin Grove State College.
Show Two will celebrate established and exciting Queensland designers, with a line-up including George Wu, Moreno Marcos, Milly Zu, Reverie the Label, Zelda F, Carol D’Silva, Swimbarre x Yugen Love and Sacha Drake.
Together, the two shows reflect what makes Brisbane Fashion Month so valuable: its ability to champion fresh creative voices while celebrating the designers who have helped shape Queensland’s fashion identity.
