Founded in 2008 by Brendon Mann, Epic Hair Designs has grown from a single Brisbane salon into Queensland’s largest luxury hair salon group, with 18 state-of-the-art salons across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. With a background in hairdressing, management, and national training, she mentors and develops our teams to deliver consistent, modern results. Her leadership strengthens our culture of education and growth, where clients can trust they are in the hands of true professionals. From guiding salon operations to supporting the career journeys of future stylists, Shayne’s influence ensures consistency, quality, and a luxury experience in every salon.

Community Commitment
We believe in giving back to the communities that support us across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and beyond. Epic Hair Designs has raised over $1,000,000 for Women’s Legal Service Queensland through our annual Epic Walk for Domestic Violence fundraiser. We also actively support local charities like Orange Sky, Share the Dignity, and The Carers Foundation. Additionally, we partner with events such as the Brisbane Festival and Brisbane Racing Club to bring creativity, fashion, and culture to our city. Each of these efforts reflects our commitment to making a positive impact beyond the salon.
Education & Excellence
Nicole oversees the Academy’s daily operations, monitors student progress, communicates with salon managers, develops training programs, and leads our team of educators. Ongoing education, workshops, and masterclasses ensure our 200+ stylists across our 18 Brisbane and Gold Coast salons stay ahead of global trends and deliver cutting-edge techniques in blonding, balayage, styling, men’s grooming, and more. Nicole begins each day with the intention of making a difference; she strives to help every student become the best version of themselves by imparting the skills and knowledge needed to grow into competent, confident Senior Stylists.

Brendon Mann – CEO & Founder
Brendon Mann is the visionary founder and CEO of Epic Hair Designs, Brisbane and Gold Coast’s powerhouse hair salon brand founded in 2008. Since opening the first Epic Hair Designs salon in Kenmore in 2008, Brendon has revolutionised traditional salon practices to build a thriving group of 18 salons.
Shayne Wright – Operations Manager
Shayne Wright is the glue that holds our Epic Hair Designs teams together. As our Operations Manager, Shayne feels privileged to grow, mentor, and develop the next generation of hairdressers in our salons. She plays a pivotal role in nurturing new talent and maintaining the high standards of service that define the Epic experience.
Nicole Gislingham – Salon Academy Operations Manager
Nicole is our Epic Salon Academy Operations Manager, whose role is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Salon academy, monitor student progress, communicate with the salon managers, develop training programs and lead and guide the Salon Academy Educators. Nicole always starts her day with the intention of making a difference.
Justine Harriden – Chief Financial Officer and Events
As Chief Financial Officer at Epic Hair Designs, Justine Harriden manages the financial strategy and growth of our 18 salons across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. With a focus on strong financial performance, she ensures the business runs smoothly and sustainably. Justine also oversees internal team events, creating opportunities that strengthen culture and celebrate success.
Charlotte Monteath – Marketing & Partnerships Manager
Charlotte Monteath leads marketing and partnerships for Epic Hair Designs, supporting the growth of our 18 salons across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. With a degree in Business Management and Journalism, she brings creativity and strategy to brand building, digital marketing, and community engagement. Since joining in 2022, Charlotte has driven campaigns and cultivated strong relationships with clients, partners, and the wider community, ensuring Epic Hair Designs continues to thrive as Queensland’s leading salon group.
Carlee Hay – Director of Philanthropy
Carlee Hay leads philanthropy at Epic Hair Designs, ensuring our 18 salons across Brisbane and the Gold Coast continue to make a meaningful impact in the community.
