Step 1: The K18 Pre-Colour Mist is a pre-service treatment that strengthens hair before a chemical service. The treatment shifts the cuticle layer to penetrate into hair’s cortex and hone in on damage sites.

Step 2: The K18 Mask is a post-service treatment that repairs damage. The mask helps to close the cuticle and seal in the peptide, with added lightweight conditioning benefits to keep hair smooth and soft. This 2-step treatment will prepare, protect and repair your hair in 6 minutes – reversing damage and preventing breakage while strengthening hair and improving elasticity.

How To Use K18 At Home

At-home, treat your hair with the leave-in molecular repair hair mask. For best results, use every 4-6 consecutive washes following a service.

Step 1: Prime your hair – deep cleaning is important! Shampoo your hair and do not use conditioner. Conditioner acts as a barrier and while K18 Peptide is a breakthrough molecule, if conditioner blocks it from reaching the cortex, it won’t work.

Step 2: Apply to towel-dried hair – Apply to damp hair so the cuticle is swollen. If hair is too dry the peptide can’t penetrate, if it’s too wet the product gets watered down. Think about 65% wet. Apply K18 Mask starting at the ends and working your way up. The amount needed depends on your hair length, type, and condition.

Step 3: Activate – Wait 4 minutes for K18 Mask to activate. Don’t rinse out. After 4 minutes you can add a leave-in conditioner or styling products and air-dry or style as usual.

Step 4: Maintain – After your service begin using the K18 Mask for 4-6 weeks or consecutive shampoos. Then to maintain hair health, use the K18 Mask every 3-4 washes to protect against daily damage. Return to the initial repair phase after any colour or chemical service.
