CALLING ALL FRIENDS OF FASHION!

Grab your fashionista friends for Hanworth House’s BIGGEST annual fundraising event! Spend an afternoon overlooking the city, sipping champagne and nabbing a bargain (or 10)! But first, in the lead up to the event, Epic Hair Designs is collecting donations for the designer rummage.

Help Us, Help Women 

Epic Hair Designs has once again partnered with our friends at Hanworth House to help raise funds for Women’s Legal Service Queensland at the annual Labels on the Lawn fundraiser. However, this is not your average rummage! Hosted on the picturesque grounds of Hanworth House, the property is divided into a fashion maze with sections dedicated to different price points. Guests are let through in small groups at a time so everyone can enjoy a relaxed and leisurely shop. All luxury items will be priced from $20 to $200, while your more exclusive items will be sold in the form of an auction or a raffle prize! 

In the month leading up to the event, we have assembled a team of Epic volunteers to help collect and assess all the clothes to ensure everything is top quality. So, if you’re hoping to donate your luxury clothes for this year’s fundraiser, then you’ll be happy to know that our Epic Salons serve as drop off points for the whole of September. 

We are happy to receive a bag (or bags) of high-end fashion items. So if you’re feeling generous, feel free to a donate a pair of pre-loved Louis Vuitton shoes, a Gucci handbag or any other high-end fashion items, jewellery, scarves or hats. We usually like to say anything above Country Road as a good reference point. The more expensive items are displayed at Labels on the Lawn and any left over items go to the annual WLS Designer Rummage – so nothing goes to waste!

Clothing and accessories can be donated at any one of our 16 Epic Hair Designs salon locations before October 16th. Alternatively, drop off any donations at our head office located at Racecourse Village, Ascot!

The Charity 

All proceeds raised on the day will be donated to Women’s Legal Service to help women impacted by domestic violence. If you aren’t familiar with WLSQ, they do incredible work assisting women and children in domestic violence situations.  

Women’s Legal Service is a specialist community legal centre providing free legal and social work to help people who live and identify as women in Queensland and are experiencing domestic violence. You can read more about WLSQ here. 

Save the Date – October 16! 

Spend an afternoon of fun and fashion overlooking the city and nabbing a bargain (or 10)! In 2021, the event received over 1000 items from over 100 brands, including Zimmerman, Easton Pearson, Aje, Leona Edmiston, Trelise Cooper, Carla Zampatti, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci & Louis Vuitton (to name a few).  

However, Labels on the Lawn is not purely about clothes. The event is an immersive experience for guests to enjoy with friends. Along with a fashion extravaganza of the maze, you can also expect live music, delicious food and a champagne bar!
