Coloured hair may be suitable, but the colour history, porosity and condition must be assessed. A smoothing service and heat can shift some colours, and heavily lightened or fragile hair may not support the process. Tell your stylist exactly what colour, bleach, toner and at home products have been used so the services can be planned in the right order.

Not always. Kerasilk requires a professional heat process, so severely compromised, breaking or heavily overprocessed hair may need a different plan or a period of care first. Glyoxylic acid is the first ingredient after water in the current Kerasilk Smoothing Lotion list and is used in professional smoothing formulas. International health authorities are reviewing its use in heated hair smoothing products following reports of acute kidney injury.
