Here’s how our stylists are getting this trending “Raspberry Bourbon” look.

Just when you thought there were no more drink inspired hair colours, another look has been created to emulate a scrumptious cocktail. Raspberry Bourbon may be a new name however this all time classic tone is trending as we speak and it’s easy to see why.  Not only is the beverage itself something to be enjoyed but the rich, reddish brown balayage truly is the perfect way for brunettes to spice up their colour.

Photos of this inspired tone by our Epic stylists are featured throughout our Instagram grid and they reveal deep brown hair that has been brightened up with red tones. Some of these tones are more auburn where as some are more berry looking yet all with the same outcome: a beautiful blend of brunette and red that creates these images of a swirling raspberry bourbon like drink.

Colour like this is an amazing way for brunettes to have red hair in a way that means very minimal commitment. This style also creates dimensions in the hair. If you are someone who already has medium to dark hair this look is easily achievable. If this sounds like you, booking in for a partial of full balayage highlight followed by a reddish-brown gloss would allow you to achieve this look.

In the photo above, where we can see grown out blonde highlights throughout naturally dark hair, a warm brown base colour could be used to provide a rooted look and a demi-permanent red glaze is used to cover the grown out highlights.

If you swipe through the post above however, it can be proven that raspberry bourbon hair can definitely start from a lighter place. In other words, we always recommend visiting one of our Master Colourists for an in salon consultation so we can diagnose your hair and create your dream hair journey based off that consultation. We love taking care of hair journeys especially when they are concerned with hair trends like this! And if you are going for a look like this perhaps you can break out the LEGIT raspberry bourbon during your appointment.
