Epic Hair Designs exclusively offers tape hair extensions which offer A+ Remy hair. This is the highest grade of superior human hair available, sourced to ensure all cuticles of the hair are intact and aligned in the same direction as your natural hair, for seamless application. This means that you are always brushing hair in the direction of the cuticle so your hair is far less likely to become tangled or mattered like with other hair extensions. The tape hair extensions are transparent meaning the extensions are unnoticeable and natural-looking.

Adding extensions to your look is a perfect way to add pops of highlights, lowlights and colour without adding lightening chemicals to your real hair. We recommend visiting your closest Epic Hair Designs salon for a complimentary consultation prior to the application of your extensions. Your stylist will diagnose your hair and match your extensions to achieve your current look. If you’re customising your extensions, we may also need to place an order for your specific extensions. To maintain the integrity of your natural hair and hair extensions, your stylists will prescribe you a customised hair routine to suit your needs.

How hair extensions can be used

Your tape extensions are available in 14”, 20” and 24” lengths. Tapes can be toned to blend perfectly with your current colour or to add colour dimension for a balayage or ombre effect. Epic Hair Designs extension specialists receive advanced extension training on models to ensure we can achieve your extension goals in salon.When coloured hair extensions are placed, they mimic foils without permanently changing or damaging the colour of your hair. The colour will be selected to blend or contrast with your natural hair to either add dimension or create a seamless blend.

Why tape extensions?

Traditional tape hair extensions typically sit in the hair for 6 to 8 weeks before needing to be adjusted. Hair extensions are something you have to live with all day every day, so they have to be comfortable. Tape hair extensions feel comfortable in your hair because they lay flat against your head. The transparent tapes make it very difficult to see where the hair extensions are applied, providing a natural and seamless look.

Maintenance

TAKING CARE OF YOUR EXTENSIONS

Hair Extensions look amazing and require proper home care to keep them in good condition between visits. We stock a range of shampoo and conditioner as well as detangling hairbrushes to keep your Extensions looking their best. Depending on how quickly your hair grows, maintenance appointments should be made every 6 to 8 weeks with one of our salons to avoid any matting that may occur as your hair grows out.

Tape hair extensions are usually reusable. However, this is dependent on the hair quality. Usually, it is possible to re-tape them up to three times, but we recommend that you re-visit our salon for a maintenance appointment for a professional and great looking result. Generally, traditional tape hair extensions are easier to style than many other hair extensions, even when straightening or curling is involved. This is because these extensions are applied to the head so naturally.

An average full head would be 4 packets of Premium Slimline Tape Extensions.

Showpony Hair Extensions are available in 14”, 20” and 24” lengths, and a variety of block, blended and ombre shades.

Yes, pop into the salon with clean hair and no products used. Alternatively, your stylist can book you in for a wash and blowdry prior to the application to ensure beautiful results.

Showpony Professional has specifically designed the width our Premium Slimline Tape Extensions and Skin Weft Tape Extensions to safely distribute the additional weight of the extension across the natural hair or “Foundation Section” without causing stress or damage.

We do not recommend the colouring of Showpony Hair Extensions, or the use of toning shampoo and or conditioners.

We do not recommend perming Showpony Hair Extensions, as they have already undergone a lengthy chemical process.

Showpony Slimline Tape Extensions require 72 hours to create a bond with one another, so we ask that you do not allow your hair to get wet, do any strenuous exercise or wash your hair during this time.

We do not recommend the use of Keratin products either before application or on Showpony Hair Extensions, as either can cause slippage of the tape, or cause brittleness in the hair itself. Keratin can also create a build-up on the hair shaft, inhibiting the adhesion of the tape to the natural hair.

Whilst wearing Showpony Hair Extensions, we recommend avoiding products containing citrus extracts, oils including Moroccan or Argan oils, silicones or their derivatives, protein or keratin-based products and products containing a high alcohol content. This includes any medicated or toning shampoos and tanning products. Using these products may cause tape slippage or discolouration to your Hair Extensions. Some chemical based sunscreens may also cause discolouration of your Hair Extensions and may void your Showpony warranty.

This is often due to the use of high heats on your Hair Extensions. Hot Showers, Hair Dryers on maximum temperature & Hot Irons being run over the upper portion of the Hair Extensions will speed up the natural deterioration of the adhesive. If you notice the adhesive becoming sticky during wear, use Deep Cleansing Shampoo to remove and Showpony Residue Remover to clean during your regular reapplication.

It is a blend of 20% European and 80% Indian, Indian for strength and durability, European for a soft, silky texture.

Remy A+ means all the cuticles are intact and aligned downward in the same direction as your natural hair. This means that you are always brushing in the direction of the cuticle therefore the hair is less likely to get tangled or matted.
